Ready to Serve!

 

 We are now ready to leave after much preparation and anticipation and to believe that it is finally here.  With lots of tears, we said goodbye to our children and grandchildren in Arizona.  We know that we will miss them, but are confident that this is what we should be doing.  We are ready to embark on one of the greatest adventures of our lifetime.  Our plane left Phoenix 50 minutes late.  We were greeted in Salt Lake by Melissa and had a wonderful dinner with all the rest of our children and grandkids in Utah.                     

Kosrae

We received a phone call today from our Mission President.  He said that we would be serving on the island of Kosrae.  We have read that Kosrae is the Jewel of Micronesia.

The Call

After six long weeks of waiting for our mission call, the letter finally came on October 8th while we were in Utah.  We opened the letter on Sunday the 10th surrounded by family and friends and cell phones linking us to family out of state.  The call wasn't exactly what we had expected, but looks like we are in for an adventure of a lifetime!
